Community Information Hub Partnership
Partner with Spotlight to get trusted information to more Delawareans, with news that is reflective of community needs.
We know there are many different ways outside of traditional media sources that people receive news and information. Churches, libraries, community centers, community advocates, influencers, and more all play a role in keeping Delawareans informed.
That’s why Spotlight Delaware has launched a partnership program for these “Community Information Hubs.” The goal: to get high-quality news and information to more people, and to create coverage that responds to what those people need.
Are you or an organization you represent a trusted source of information to a community in Delaware? Join us!

Frequently asked questions
As a partner, Community Information Hubs become a valued voice to the Spotlight Delaware editorial team and can share about issues that are concerns in their circles. This communication will create better journalism for the community groups served by our partners.
Spotlight Delaware aims to make this as easy for you as possible for partners. Twice a month we’ll share emails that give short, easily shareable summaries of key articles – plus custom links and QR codes that can be placed in any number of places. If a graphic treatment is better, we’ll include that as well.
Of course, you can share any of our articles, videos or social media posts as well. It’s up to you.
To stay listed as an active Community Information Hub, we ask that you share at least three stories within every six-month window.
It’s super helpful to the Spotlight team to know what stories are of interest to our partners. We hope partners will complete this short 5-answer tracking report each time they re-share a story (one of those questions is optional!).
It’s not required that partners fill out that form, but we’ll only know if you’ve shared out three stories in those six-month windows if you complete the form!
No! Participating in the Community Information Hub Partnership Program is free.
Our goal is to get high-quality local news and information to as many Delawareans as possible.
The essence of the Community Information Hub–Spotlight Delaware partnership is creating a two-way relationship that strengthens the news and information landscape for all Delawareans. While Spotlight Delaware always accepts and considers press releases, this partnership should not be seen primarily as an avenue for having Spotlight Delaware reporters write a story on your organization or initiative.
