
Eric Ruth joins the Spotlight Delaware marketing team as the organization’s content marketing manager, adding decades of Delaware knowledge and formidable writing talents to the earned revenue team.
“We are committed to helping our partners create sponsored content that is informative, enjoyable to read, and valuable to both our clients and our readers,” said Matt Sullivan, chief operating officer of Spotlight Delaware. “There are precious few people with the right combination of experience and knowledge to deliver on that promise. Eric has all of that, plus the fact that he’s one of the state’s truly great writers.”
Ruth’s name is a familiar one to anyone who has followed Delaware media over the past few decades. A graduate of the University of Delaware’s journalism program, Ruth spent years at The News Journal as a copy editor, business reporter and restaurant critic before moving into content marketing roles at the Delaware Tourism Office and University of Delaware’s alumni magazine.
Ruth will be the primary writer and editor behind Spotlight’s content marketing program, while assisting the marketing team on other earned revenue campaigns, working to create a new model for sustainable, non-profit journalism.
