Spotlight Delaware is thrilled to announce its new partnership with El Tiempo Hispano.
El Tiempo Hispano is Delaware’s only bilingual, biweekly print and online newspaper with a mission to report local, state and global issues of importance, not only to Hispanics, but to all citizens of the state.
El Tiempo Hispano joins Spotlight Delaware’s five existing partners: The News Journal, The Newark Post, Morning Star Publications (including the Seaford Star and Laurel Star), Delaware Business Now, and Delaware Currents.
Newsroom and community partners play a key role in Spotlight Delaware’s free-to-access distribution model. Newsrooms in Spotlight’s partner program have signed agreements to work with Spotlight Delaware to share stories and collaborate in monthly editorial meetings.
“This is particularly exciting following the launch of Spotlight Delaware en Espanol, an initiative that includes weekly Spanish-language news updates and a website toggle that allows readers to translate any Spotlight story into Spanish to Haitian Creole at the flick of a switch,” said Spotlight Delaware Publisher & CEO Allison Taylor Levine. “We are committed to providing high-quality news and information to residents in every corner of Delaware, and this partnership with El Tiempo Hispano will strengthen our ability to engage with the Spanish-speaking communities of Delaware.”
